Logan Lake Community Forest hosts UBC Master of Sustainable Forest Management students for field training with Forsite Consultants

Forsite and UBC MSFM students recently took part in a field day at Logan Lake BC, meeting Logan Lake, District Of council members and their Fire Chief, and reviewing field projects Forsite is completing for the Logan Lake Community Forest (LLCF).

This is part of an ongoing collaboration between Forsite and University of British Columbia Faculty of Forestry Masters of Sustainable Forest Management (MSFM) program where Forsite staff provide live training and support to students as they complete a landscape-level management plan for the LLCF. The class’ projects will incorporate key skills including strategic forest planning, timber supply analysis, forest policy and legislation, data management, research, and report writing.
