Community forests manage sensitive values – featuring the Williams Lake Community Forest

Community Forests manage a wide range of valuable resources. For example, 80% of the Williams Lake CF is considered sensitive with values like mule deer winter range, visual polygons, old growth management areas, archeology and cultural values, high value fish streams, and recreational trails laid out over the landscape. WLCF, like many other community forests in BC, strives to manage these values to the highest degree possible with the best interests and priorities of their communities in mind.
