Maintenance aspects highlighted at latest open house Environment

Road access, forest management and trail creation are key aspects of the Cheakamus Community Forest (CCF), in addition to the logging of some 100,000 cubic metres of wood, according to local forester Tom Cole. The issues of forest maintenance and recreation access were highlighted at a community forest open house held Tuesday (April 12) at the Whistler Public Library. About 45 people attended the afternoon session, which was held to provide information about the goals of the CCF and gather feedback from the public.
