Editor: The city, regional district and Lheidli T’enneh’s proposed community forest expansion, while a valuable item for creating a fire-safe, 25-kilometre corridor around the city, will have a truly damaging effect on a young farmer’s ability to develop “ag leases.” Up until now our farmers have sold the timber off of an agricultural lease to help offset the cost of bringing land into production.
