SECHELT — Three people were arrested Tuesday as a dispute over logging on the Sunshine Coast heats up.
The trio were arrested by RCMP after protesters were served with an injunction ordering them not to interfere with logging in an area southeast of Sechelt. The group Elphinstone Logging Focus had set up what it called a “peace camp” near a disputed 14-hectare area managed by the Sunshine Coast Community Forest on behalf of the District of Sechelt.
