Weberville Community Forest Association fulfills planting promise The Record-Gazette – August 10, 2011
On August 8, Weberville Community Forest Association (WCFA), with the help of Alberta Junior Forest Rangers (JFR) finished up planting 1,500 trees at the 2A Ranch north of Weberville Road.
This project dates back to December, when the WCFA held a Polar Bear Dip fundraiser with the promise that for every dollar raised, they would plant one tree. The association raised $1,500 so in turn the WCFA and JFR planted 1,500 lodgepole pine and blue spruce trees, starting a few weeks ago and concluding August 8.
