Falling operations got underway Monday in the Alberni Valley Community Forest. The harvest has been contracted to Probyn Logging, with a target of 20,000 cubic metres to be completed before the end of the year, according to operations manager Larry Spencer. “They’ve been rebuilding some of the old roads into the logging sites,” Spencer said Tuesday. “We’ve been falling for a rightof-way for the new roads and we began falling the first block starting Monday.” Shayne Morrow, Alberni Valley Times – October 20, 2011 read more
