Burns Lake, B.C. – Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation, Pat Bell, will be taking the lead in the Province’s efforts to help the community of Burns Lake recover economically from Friday’s fatal fire that destroyed the Babine Forest Products sawmill.
Bell will be in Burns Lake this Friday to meet with community leaders and organizations. Bell’s Ministry will be working closely with the Ministry of Forests Lands and Natural resources on planning short and long term economic strategies.”We need to work quickly and collaboratively with the community to develop a plan to support Burns Lake, its families and workers when the immediate crisis has eased” says Bell “My ministry is leading government’s efforts to stabilize the community and see the community’s economic development objectives achieved.”Opinion 250 News – January 24, 2012
