The BCCFA would like to acknowledge that we are gathering on the traditional territory of the Tse’khene people of the McLeod Lake Indian Band.
Mackenzie BC is the location for the BCCFA’s 2024 Conference & AGM, hosted by McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest. This year’s conference will provide delegates the unique opportunity to learn from a small rural community while also gaining perspective on the large, interconnected themes and ideas that affect and inspire community forest practitioners today.
This important event will feature engaging and informative sessions from June 11-13th, with specially curated field trips on Tuesday the 11th and a banquet on the evening of Wednesday the 12th. Our conference programming has shifted to a mid-week schedule to allow delegates the option to travel home before the weekend – or to stay on in Mackenzie to enjoy more of the area! The event schedule offers a healthy balance of leisure time to ensure delegates have the chance to connect informally, and also explore and recreate in a beautiful part of the province.
Hotel rooms are limited and we encourage attendees to book their accommodations prior to confirming your registration. There are plenty of campsites available! If you plan to attend the field trip on the morning of the 11th, we recommend that you arrive on the 10th.
