Grants given to plan evacuation routes

Each of five north-central B.C. communities will receive $25,000 to develop evacuation route plans in the wake of the massive wildfires over the last two summer.

Mackenzie, Quesnel, McBride, Wells, Williams Lake and Granisle are included in the 60 communities across B.C. who will receive a share of $1.5 million in funding, the provincial government said Tuesday.
