Jobs minister Pat Bell will not seek re-election due to health issue

Jobs and Labour minister Pat Bell has announced he is withdrawing as a B.C. Liberal candidate in the upcoming election due to a health issue.

Bell was first elected in 2001 and has served in several ministerial roles. He represents the riding of Prince George-Mackenzie. Bell says he fell ill last fall and wasn’t getting better, so he went to see his family doctor, who discovered an unusual shadow on an x-ray. He underwent additional testing and it was determined he had a rare form of an aneurysm. Feb 17, 2013 Global TV News
