Lumby’s community forest is taking root
Lumby’s community forest is taking root. Members of the Monashee Community Forest management committee recently went on a field tour of the area. “The site appears well organized, and the amount of hard work it must have taken to get from standing trees to this point is staggering” said Jeremy Sundin, secretary-treasurer. “These workers are true professionals in their field, and we thank them for their efforts”. The committee observed the logging site, watched the equipment at work, and listened to the contractor foreman, Bob Austin, describe the process.
