The BCCFA is thrilled to announce that Executive Director, Jennifer Gunter, has been honoured with the King Charles III Coronation Medal. Jennifer and Linda Coady (President and CEO of the BC Council of Forest Industries) were awarded the medals by Minister Ralston in Vancouver on September 16, 2024.
“Our second recipient has spent more than 20 years championing the deep relationship people have with the forests that surround them. She has worked tirelessly to create connections between communities, First Nations and local employers to create local jobs, foster public participation in forestry decision-making, and entrench innovative, sustainable forestry practices across our province. As one of the founders of the BC Community Forest Association and its longtime Executive Director, she has overseen its growth from an organization of 10 member communities to one of more than 50. I am pleased to present the King Charles III Coronation Medal to Jennifer Gunter,” said Minister Ralson at the award ceremony.
