ABSTRACT: Jennifer will set the context for the workshop by recapping the impacts of the 2017 and 2018 fire seasons to the province and to community forests. The BC Community Forest Association has been actively engaged in the provincial review of wildfire planning & preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery, and promotes community forests as an important tool for creating more fire‐resilient communities and forest ecosystems.
