National Forest Week

This week, Canadians celebrate National Forest Week. This year’s theme, “Sunrise in the Forest,” sheds light on the great opportunity, rewards, innovation, diversity, and sustainability within Canada’s forest sector.

In BC, forests are an integral part of our environment, the economy and the social fabric of our province. Let us know what activities are planned for your community.

The BC National Forest Week Coalition (NFW) has been working very hard to coordinate province wide media releases, distributing NFW posters and giveaways for kids, and making sure that as many parts of the province are engaged in organizing NFW events. NFW is a great time to get out, wave the flag, promote forest management in BC and across Canada, let folks know how important forest resource management is to BC, and tell the story of the many great employment opportunities that exist in the sector.
