Observed Effects of Silvicultural Treatments on the Alex Fraser Research Forest

ABSTRACT: On July 7, 2017, seven fires started on the Gavin Lake Block of the Alex Fraser Research Forest.
Those fires burned in 10 stands that had been logged under a wide range of silvicultural systems. During
the fire‐fighting, mop‐up and rehab, Ken learned that silviculture matters in fire behaviour and impacts.
