Williams Lake Indian Band Fuel Treaments
Steve Capling – DWB Consulting
ABSTRACT: The treatments prescribed in 2010 are reviewed. How the results achieved helped protect WLIB structures are discussed. While the 2010 treatment worked, some emphasis is placed on how prescribing results for fuel treatment has changed over the past 10 years. The core objectives of surface fuel load reduction, removal of laddering fuels and attaining crown separation are still targeted. Two key things have changed: Increasing the amount of Crown separation and an increased emphasis on getting objective results into the Fuel Management Plan.
